SPEAKERS
Meet our special guests who will be sharing in plenaries, forums, seminars and workshops.
Allan Matamoros is from Costa Rica and since his youth he has worked in global contexts, striving to share the Gospel in hard-to-reach places. He served for 12 years as international director of PMI, serves as Board Chairman for Vision 5:9 (a ministry that promotes collaboration between 180 organizations to share the love of Jesus among Muslim peoples) and also serves with COMIBAM (Iberoamerican Missionary Cooperation). His work has helped trends in the Global South multiply communities of disciples of Jesus in the Middle East, North Africa and West Africa.
Allan is married to Patrícia and has two children - Priscilla and José Pablo.
Hélder is married to Ana, and they have four children. He serves as the CEO of Community Bible Study (a ministry serving in over 110 countries and more than 85 languages - www.communitybiblestudy.org).
Hélder preaches and teaches around the world in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. He has a Doctorate in Advanced Biblical Preaching from the Talbot School of Theology and a Master's degree in Biblical Interpretation from the London School of Theology.
In his twenties, Hélder was a participant in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association UK Emerging Evangelists Institute. Later, he co-founded RedTimoteo (a pioneer program for young evangelists in Spain) and the EYE (European Young Evangelists) Network. He was also the co-founding pastor of C29 Granada Church in Spain. He is the author of the award-winning book “Expand: Preaching to both Christians and Non-Christians from the Same Sermon,” as well as numerous evangelistic articles. He worked for HSBC Bank and General Motors before devoting himself to full-time evangelistic, missionary, and pastoral ministry in his early twenties.
Hélder and Ana have served as cross-cultural missionaries for 18 years; he now serves on the Board of OC International, an international mission agency. Hélder is a global citizen, having lived in six countries.
He enjoys reading, watching films, playing guitar and football (though not at the same time!), and especially spending time with Ana and their children. One of his favorite Bible verses is “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD…” (Zechariah 4:6), reminding him of his complete dependence on Jesus. As Hélder often says: “It’s all by God’s grace and all for His glory.”
Hélder’s sermons, talks, and classes can be found on his channels on YouTube, social media, and podcast platforms. His website is www.helderfavarin.com
